::Cousins:: Anza Family Photographer

When I decided to stay at home with my lovely Logan 24/7 my child started getting really attached to only his mama and on top of that he was starting to drive me nuts some days so I found a great daycare up here and had him go once a week. He is still very much a mamas boy ( as he sits here in the chair with me cuddled up♥) but during this crazy busy season of family pictures I took him to daycare twice a week so I could do nothing but edit on those days. These are two kids that he goes to daycare with and they just happen to be the owners grandkids. Even though I live 10 minutes from Anza I am still not familiar with the area and great locations. Rhonda has said there is this nice gazebo. It just happened to be in the middle of a trailer park. this is where my nifty 50mm came in handy shooting wide open. After there I wanted to go to this museum but it was closed so I took them off the side of the road near our dump… If you can’t tell, nothing is impossible with me, and I am great with improvising.

What is there not to say about this cute little/not so little family. They are such a perfect mold of people. Jaylin and Mark are so cute together and the kids are all so different but also the same all at once. It was really windy the day of their shoot, Jaylin and I almost reschedule but Mark said no, we are going today, and that is what we did. It was a great choice because there wasn’t even a breeze in Oak Glen. Only bad thing, which Jaylin failed to mention, Mark had pneumonia. The poor guy was hacking up a lung, especially in the nice, clean crisp air. Between the coughing and each kid running in a different direction we managed to get a couple good shot of everyone together.

          

::The Fisher Family:: Beaumont Family Photographer

Well, remember how I said I had fallen in the mud with the Rutland family? The Fisher family happened to be scheduled after them so they had the pleasure of seeing me at my best, covered in mud! How embarrassing. Then to make things even better, they were not dressed at all to be in the freezing cold. So we improvised and decided to drive down the backside of the hill. Since that is the way I drive when going to Oak Glen I was familiar with the area a little and knew of this walk-way thing ( I have no clue what it really is).

Since a storm had just passed through we had these A-MAZ-ing clouds. I was in heaven when I saw these things. They also reminded me of my friend  Rachel, who is an awesome photographer and now lives in KY. She seems to get these amazing photos with those big beautiful clouds, I think I want to move there just to get some of the amazing pictures she has. They seem to have great locations everywhere out there.  For a last minute improvise, this site was perfect for what my vision was with this family.

:: Family session: Rutlands ::

I have known this family for such a long time. Lindsey and I are the same age, and have been friends for most of our lives. I am so thrilled that she just had her first born Brockton. Her parents are the owners of the “Green Frog” in Highland and also Electric Beach tanning salon in Grand Terrace. They are just great people to know and have always been there to help others out.  Now, with this session, I had just been in Oak Glen the day before for the Penney family. It was beautiful on that Saturday, then we show up for this family and there was a good four inches of new snow on the ground and it was cold. They were troopers though and we made it work. But of course I had to fall in the mud.. yes, totally covered in mud. Ahh good times.

Playing catch up.

I am currently trying to catch up with all of my blogs and get this back in order. I just realized that I did 14 shoots with in the first 14 days of December. That would probably explain why I am getting sick and feel like I hit a wall. I am so thankful for the continued support and business. I really could have never gotten this far without each and everyone of you. So thank you and and I would hope you stick around to see where this journey takes me.

I am also currently working on my 2011 wedding prices. I have teamed up with another photographer who I just love to do all of my weddings with. She is amazing and I love the “eye” she has. I would like to think our work is similar in many ways and this is why I think she would be perfect to do all of my weddings with. I hope to announce all of the info by the end of this month, so stay posted.  You will not be able to beat getting two great photographers for one price. My goal is to do 10 weddings this year. Let’s see if we can make it happen.

::Penney Family::

awww My wonderful, beautiful cousin Becky. I love this girl and her family. I was ecstatic when she asked me to take her pictures. They live close to Santa Barbra and drove all the way in Oak Glen so I could take their pictures. Addison, her daughter, told me half way through “It’s okay, ill protect you” and it about melted my heart. I am just in love with that red hair.

I have known Josh since High School. Being around Katie, him and the kids it is hard not to smile. Their daughter has so much energy and no fear. Once again it was anther cold day. So I tried to make it as quick as possible so we could all get out of there.

It was a cold day when we met up in Oak Glen. I don’t think it got over 48 degrees. It was a little bit of shock for my clients when they got out of the car and then to top it off Mikayla didn’t want to smile for anything!!! We made it work, but next time I will get that girl to smile no matter what I do.

::Milbrandts:: Redlands Family Photographer

These people are one of my favorite families. The boys are always so crazy and never wanting to take a picture or ever look at the camera. I have now taken their pictures about three time and this is the first time ever they have been so good. They would stand there stare at me and together say cheeeeesssseee. It was great and such a fun shoot. Prospect park is always so pretty.
