:: Barnett Maternity :: Redlands Maternity Photographer

It was a warm evening with a slight breeze. We had mapped out a couple locations around Redlands in hopes of finding some beautiful light and creating some good times. I was thrilled when Sondra asked me to take her maternity pictures. I have known Sondra for years, and  yet, had only heard wonderful things about Tommy. It was nice to finally put a face to name that I had heard so much about.

I met Sondra working at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Tommy also works  at the hospital and  is attending University of Redlands for a business major. As we drove around on our location adventure I asked Tommy what his end goal was with his business classes, and what type of job he would like to have along with what is his dream job. It didn’t take long for Tommy to answer back with a simple but heartfelt “ My dream would be to have a good enough job so Cassondra could stay home with our kids”  When Tommy spoke those words, my heart became mush for them. There is no better answer than that. There is no better choice than that! When you come to that point in life where you stop living for yourself and start living for others is the moment you become a better person. I have no doubt Sondra and Tommy are going to make the most amazing parents. These two are adorable together. There were several times I asked different things of them and without even looking at one another they would react the same, or give the same facial expressions. It was fun to watch them interact with each other and the softness between them.

This little girl they are expecting is very lucky to have two wonderful people as her parents. The only thing we shall ask of her is to stay inside until her due date and stop giving her mom so many problems.

:: Lauren | College Graduate ::

I knew from the minute I met this girl I had met a friend. It instantly felt like we had know each other for years. I met her on the perfect day, she made me appreciate my job and being able to meet such wonderful people along the way.

This girl has is going on, she is super smart, funny, has a wonderful boyfriend and luckily for me, a little wild since I took her on an adventure ride. She will be graduating from Cal Baptist in kinesiology soon, and on the other hand, I can’t even pronounce the word correctly! It is inspiring to talk to people with goals and to be around positive people. Lauren is one of those people. When you are around her you instantly feel comfortable. She has goals and hopes for her future and I can truly see her conquering anything she puts her mind to.

Thank you Lauren for such a fun filled adventure shoot.

::Senior | Joy:: {Redlands Senior Photographer}

Joy and Nicole are best friends, so I was happy when Nicole sent Joy my way for her senior pictures. We met in Redlands on one of those cool, overcast afternoons, and if you know me you know I LOVE me some overcast skies!  If everyday was overcast I would be in heaven, those clouds create perfect lighting for anywhere! I knew Joy had a Cello that she wanted to bring,  and I had the perfect spot in mind, but I didn’t know how to pronounce Cello. Maybe that is sad to admit, but very true, I thought it was a C-lo. I guess I just say it like I see it. ; ) Joy is a very talented young girl, and super fun to be around. She plays the cello and also bass guitar ( I think it was base?) I would love to have some talent like that, and be able to sing also.. I'm pretty sure that isn’t asking for too much, right? So since I had the perfect sky, we drove to a couple different places in Redlands and snapped away.

::Senior|Alissa::

I met Alissa up in Oak Glen. I had planned to take her pictures at Los Rios Ranch, but I wasn’t aware that the park and trails closed at 4:30 all year round, and they don’t mess around about locking your car in there if you are not out.  So after freaking out inside for a min I figured I would just “wing” it. I know, super professional right?! There are several spot in Oak Glen that I always pass and want to take pictures at so I thought I would use this golden opportunity and use a couple of these spots and then finish at Riley's Farm, because you can never go wrong there, it’s impossible. On this day I also realized how small the world really is… Alissa noticed a Local Union 1245 sticker on my window. It is a sticker of the union my husband is in for his job, Power line Construction. Alissa’s mom then asked why I has this sticker and who I knew in that trade. I explained that it was my husband, told her what he did, who he worked for, and where his “show up” was… her eyes got brighter and her smile got bigger as I kept talking, which it totally not normal when I tell people about my husbands job because no one ever gets it. Well, the reason why LeeAnn got it is because her husband does the same exact thing, for the same company, same show up!!! My husband and Alissa’s dad work together and we had no clue!!! See, told ya. Small world! After knowing our families worked together I felt as if I had known them forever. We had a great session with several laughs.

Alissa, I wish you nothing but the best in your future. I know you will go far and succeed in everything you put your mind to. You and humble, I like that, and you have a smile that can light up a room, use it to it’s fullest potential. ; )
